I think the comments you made toward Pauline Hanson after the court case were uncalled for and extremely RUDE.
I do NOT think Ms Hanson or the tax payer should have to pay the court costs. Sean.Castle, the person responsible for all of this should be made to pay the costs.
Come on now- You would have done the same thing if you were in her shoes.
Believe it or not, Ms Hanson has HUGE support.
Australia needs someone like her in Parliament to ” keep the bastards honest”.
By the way– A carbon tax in No way is going to reduce carbon emissions. It will just destroy famillies.

Hi Neil, I have followed your career for sometime and am most impressed with your common sense approach to real green issues in this city.I support your defense of the wetlands,local parks and rejection of the ill fated Macquarie pipeline. What I would like to talk to you about is council taking the lead and installing renewable solar power to as many of its buildings as possible.I would love to sit down and talk with you.

Agree. You shouldn’t be piping from the Macquarie, apart from the environmental issues – or is it for the ever expanding gold mining near Orange.

The Bells Line of Road would charge a toll for drivers ($12 if I remember correctly from the report launch several years ago) and will be mainly targetted at B-doubles. Not too much publicity about that. So, speeding B-doubles across a tolled freeway doesn’t sound so good. Especially when the other side of the mountains rejects the idea of all that traffic then bottlenecking onto their local roads all the way into Sydney and to the ports.

Do your homework!

I lived in Orange many years ago but visit at least once a year. I love the town. I heard on the radio that you are promoting a total smoking ban in Orange. I do not and have never smoked and don’t like it but how ridiculous. I thought we lived in a free country and what a way to promote tourism in Orange. What about a total ban on other drugs. Are you having a RANGER patrolling the streets of Orange for this misdemeanour? I also note you espouse the “Climate Change”. What a colossal con trick that is.

In to-days paper your comments about the COMMUNITY COMMENT is disappoiting. well sir why should we be bothered. this Council will do what they want. so no matter what we say or do you will get your way not the way we want it. This town used to be a great town a place we were very proud of but it is getting like hell. i bought a house, bought a business here, i have made a big mistake. my son bought a house in bathurst, very wise move.
1 he can walk down the town and smoke
2 his rates are cheaper
3 he can drive at 60 ks
4 he can wash his car when he likes
This town is going backwards. we try our best to save water and what does the council do – put our water up and up. i bet when if ever our dam is full and running over you won’t put the water charges down. you all must stay awake all night trying to find a way to get more money out of us. this COUNCEL stinks.
one of the hardest thing is when u drive to bathurst and see people watering their gardens and washing their cars. we haven’t been able to do that for years and won’t for years to come.
TOTALLY dissapointed whis this council. i will pay the fine before i will vote ever again.

I fully agree with the smoking ban introduced in Orange. While I agree there are conciderate smokers there are many that aren’t. Passive smoking is a real problem for many and smoke just plain stinks. How nice to be able to walk around town, go in and out of buildings without having a crowd of addicts at the door way creating a smoke screen. I hope other councils will be as forward thinking as Orange. Funny that the one leading the way is a moderate size country town, congratulations!

just watched you appearance on the today show, just like climate change, you greenies are lying again, where’s your proof that people are exposed hundreds if not thousands of times to passive smoking. as far as I’m concerned your party, the greens, are nothing more than a political joke.
